A day at the beach - first time ever!

When was the last time you went to the beach? For me it was this morning, as we live by the South Coast near Brighton. Last March we asked our community what they really needed as we had a little spare cash that month, and instead of hearing the expected "bandages, rice, medicines..." we were surprised they asked for a day at the seaside. They all said this was a lifelong dream, as no-one had ever seen the sea. Well who could refuse that.

The first photo has to be one of my favourite images. It's a bunch of people having a great outing at the beach near Dokulapadu. Our lovely community. They left early in the morning

on a hired coach. Arrived in time to catch a few waves, paddle in the sea, and made sandcastles (yes! everyone should do that at least once in a lifetime) and had a great picnic feast..

This meant more to the group than anything I have ever seen or could have imagined. We can't thank all our supporters, and David and his team enough for getting this organised.
